The Empire of Brazil is a capitalist constitutional monarchy in South America. It comprises nearly half of the total land area of the South American continent, and is the second largest country by area in the Americas as a whole. Brazil, along with its allies and neighbours; Bolivia, Venezuela, Paraguay, Uruguay and the Guianas, constitute a South American capitalist bloc, as opposed to the rest of South America, which are all member states of the Comintern-affiliated Panamerican Union.
The Empire of Brazil in its current form was established following the overthrow of the fascist Integralist regime during World War II, being replaced with an Allied-backed restoration of the monarchy under the House of Braganza, which had previously ruled Brazil between 1822 and 1889.
The country spans from the Atlantic coast in the east to the Amazon rainforest region in the western interior, which is considered the most biodiverse place on Earth, home to myriad unique plants and animal species.
