The Kingdom of Thailand is a country in South-East Asia. It borders Indochina to the east, Malaya to the south and Burma to the west.
Thailand is a capitalist constitutional monarchy and a member of the Alliance of Free States. Like Australasia, the country is home to a large expat community of right-wing Japanese and Chinese people and their descendants, who settled in the country in the 1940s following the rise of socialism in their home countries. The state maintains lèse-majesté laws prohibiting insults and speech against the monarchy in spite of its constitutional nature. Thailand has maintained a long history of conflict with its TCI-aligned neighbour Indochina throughout the Cold War, with the latest war fought between the two (the Champa War) having been fought between 2015 and 2017.
